“Menekşe” Music Video is Out!

Nilipek., who released her fourth studio album “Uydurduğumuz Oyunlarla” in May 2024, shared the music video for the album’s second single, Menekşe, with her listeners. Menekşe is a breakup song that describes the process of separation from the initial pain to the final numbness. The video, which combines its sad story with stop-motion animation, is directed by Uğur Savaş.

In the video, Uğur Savaş, who refers to the violet as the “fairy of love,” tells the story as follows: “Love has ended; even if the people want to meet, their efforts are in vain because they cannot reach the fairy of that love. To Menekşe, who lives in a fantastical terrarium, the owners of this love appear as creatures. Menekşe also wants to communicate but does not want to take a step and escapes because she is afraid of the ghost of the past. After love has ended, the Violet Fairy must find a new life for herself. To find this life, she must abandon who she is and become someone else.”
